Aiming for harmonization of Biomedical Engineering education in Europe, conferences were organized and good practices shared.

In January 2007 prof.dr. Dick Slaaf  was elected General Secretary of EAMBES, the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering & Science, for the next two years.

EAMBES was founded in June 2003 en its mission is: ‘to improve the health, wealth and well-being of the people by the application of medical and biological engineering and sciences’.
